A regional language satellite channel was launched on 15 August 1991, which became 24 hrs channel on 1 January 2000. Owned and operated by Prasar Bharati under Doordarshan, supported by Doordarshan studios in Bengaluru and Kalburgi, telecasted “Azaadi Hind” a programme presented by our students on August 13th 2016 from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm the recording of the same was done August 3rd 2016.
