B.E.T. Institutions, under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organised an Interactive Session on “Nutrition, Mental Well-being and Healthy Lifestyle” on 2 September 2026.
Dr. Nida Fathima Hazari, Nutritionist and psychologist was the invited guest speaker. She interacted with students and staff and shared valuable insights on balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits, physical activity, adequate sleep, stress management and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The session was highly interactive and engaging. Students and staff actively participated in the question-and-answer segment and raised practical questions on nutrition, food choices, stress, sleep, concentration and healthy routines. The speaker responded to the questions with practical guidance and useful suggestions that can be easily followed in everyday life.
The programme also featured an inspiring interaction by Dr. Nazia Kouser, Professor, Department of Journalism, Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University. Dr. Nazia Kouser has completed her Ph.D. with research focused on Waqf. She motivated the students to understand the importance of education in shaping their personality, confidence, critical thinking and future opportunities. She encouraged students to remain curious, ask questions, develop their potential and make the best use of educational opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The session connected health, education, awareness and holistic development. It encouraged students to make informed choices, adopt positive lifestyle practices and develop habits that contribute to their overall well-being and success.
The active participation of students and staff made the programme informative and meaningful. The interactive nature of the session helped students learn, question, reflect and share their views.
Overall, the session was successful in creating awareness about nutrition, mental well-being, healthy lifestyle and the importance of education. The programme contributed to the holistic development of students and strengthened the Institution’s Innovation Council’s efforts towards student well-being, awareness and innovation.
