Remembering Hazrath Tipu Sultan  – Dream of India and nightmare of British invaders.

Keeping up with the tradition of  sharing knowledge that result in exchange of knowledge and in the generation of new knowledge –  the topic of our knowledge sharing lecture was  on the legendary  and enlightened ruler  Hazrath Tipu Sultan  “The Tiger of Mysore” or Tipoo Sahib as the British called him was a great supporter of the independence of our nation from colonial powers and in this light, was wary of the British East India Company’s plans to expand its influence across our country.  Faculty members highlighted the  sacrificial nature and passionate patriotism  of the Great Hero of   Indian Freedom struggle about his Childhood and Early life, his accession and reign, major wars  highlighting valiant acts in several wars and the sacrifices he made to save his land from foreign invaders ,his personal life and legacy ,his obsession for horticulture and gardening.
The Lecture was well organized, interesting and proved beneficial to all the staff members
