Tipu Sultan Birth Anniversary- November 10th 2017
The Morning Assembly started on a high note emphasizing the significance of Tipu Sultan the 18th Century Mysore ruler who stands in history as a symbol of resistance in British colonial expansion who valiantly fought against the British to safeguard the locals and the land. Mrs Shabana Lakkundi Assistant Professor Department of Hindi and Students of BA stream highlighted on the life and achievements of Tipu sultan a great freedom fighter who loved India and fought against Britishers like his father and the first to introduce rockets for battles in India among the kings and who also promoted agriculture, handwork’s, skills of people in all works by financially helping them .
The speeches given eulogized the great leader of Southern India who will remain in the history of India as a towering personality who lived like statesman and his contributions are marvelous for the progress of Mysore state and whose monumental contributions to the country will be cherished with pride and gratitude.
